|
Peter Jones RM is a midwife working in a NHS unit in Lancashire, England. He has a long background in orgonomy and currently runs the Centre for Orgone Research and Eduation (CORE). Jones first became interested in the application of Reich's vegetotherapeutic* techniques within peri-natal care in 1968 when his wife was in labour. Jones went on to study vegetotherapy with Ola Raknes in Oslo. Jones was an active vegetotherapist for many years taking part in study groups and giving lectures in Germany and the UK throughout the 1970's & 80's. He went on to establish CORE in 1996. CORE's has published introductory literature to Orgonomy. Jones has also written books on Orgonomy and midwifery and is currently working on a textbook on bions, the pre-cellular biological entity claimed by Reich. Jones trained in midwifery in order to introduce and develop orgonomic ideas concerning gentle childbirth within the NHS. CORE has a wide range of orgonomic literature and a small laboratory. Jone's language skills in both German and Russian are additional assets in his scholerly activities. Jones is organising an international orgonomy conference to be held in England in 2007. *Vegetotherapy was the first body-based psychotherapy and was developed by Reich in the 1930's. |

| Jones has two main research areas, gentle childbirth/peri-natal orgone therapy and orgonomic microscopy. In the latter, Jone's interests include, bions, transformation processes in micro-organisms and claims of spontaneous generation. Jones also researches the work of the little known British microbiologist, H. Bastian (which has some overlap with Reich's bion observations). | |||||||||||||
